DESCRIPTION:This Structural Plan Reading class will teach participants how to interpret drawings that show how a commercial building stands up – the skeleton of the structure.\n\nIn this class\, attendees review the important aspects of reading Structural plans:\n\nPurpose and types of structural plans\nUnderstanding structural symbols\, notes and line types\, “reading the code”\nFoundation plans and footing layouts\nStructural framing plans\nSections\, elevations and structural details\nreading structural schedules\nCoordination with other trades\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Plan Reading series consists of these sessions:\n\nOverview and Introduction\, 5/7\nCivil Plans\, 5/22\nStructural Plans\, 6/5\nArchitectural Plans\, 6/18\nM&P Plans\, 7/8\nElectrical Plans\, 8/5\nSpecial Systems\, 8/19\n\nIt is recommended to participate in the all Plan Reading classes for the more thorough introduction to plan reading.\n\n\n\nIf attending via Zoom\, you will miss some of the hands-on activities in the class.\n\n\n\nA Zoom link will be sent a few days prior to the sessions. Please keep your camera on for maximum engagement.
