DESCRIPTION:In this Mechanical & Plumbing (M&P) Plan Reading class\, attendees will learn how to read and interpret the systems that provide heating\, cooling\, ventilation\, water supply\, and drainage throughout the building. \nIn this class\, attendees review the important aspects of reading M&P plans: \n\nShow how mechanical (HVAC) and plumbing systems are designed and routed\nEnsure functionality\, code compliance\, and coordination with other trades\nGuide installation of ductwork\, equipment\, piping\, and fixtures\nTypes of M&P Drawings\n\nMechanical Floor Plans – HVAC duct layouts\, equipment locations\nPlumbing Floor Plans – piping for water supply\, sanitary\, and storm drainage\nRiser Diagrams – vertical routing of pipes or ducts through floors\nDetails and Schedules – specifications for equipment and fixtures\n\n\n\n***The Plan Reading series consists of these sessions: \n\nOverview and Introduction\, 5/7\nCivil Plans\, 5/22\nStructural Plans\, 6/5\nArchitectural Plans\, 6/18\nM&P Plans\, 7/8\nElectrical Plans\, 8/5\nSpecial Systems\, 8/19\n\nIt is recommended to participate in the all Plan Reading classes for the more thorough introduction to plan reading.
