DESCRIPTION:This Academy session teaches attendees the important aspects of how buildings are designed from a functional and spatial perspective. \nAttendees will learn: \n\n\nHow to communicate the design intent\, layout\, and aesthetics of a building \n\n\nHow to define interior and exterior spaces\, finishes\, fixtures\, and spatial relationships \n\n\nHow to coordinate with structural\, MEP\, and civil plans \n\n\nAn introduction to the core architectural drawing types and what each shows \n\n\n  \nThe Plan Reading series consists of these sessions: \n\n\nOverview and Introduction\, 10/28/25 \n\n\nCivil Plans\, 11/18/25 \n\n\nStructural Plans\, 12/4/25 \n\n\nArchitectural Plans\, 1/6/26 \n\n\nMechanical Plans\, 1/27/26 \n\n\nPlumbing Plans\, 2/17/26 \n\n\nElectrical Plans\, 3/10/26 \n\n\nSpecial Systems\, 3/31/26 \n\n\n  \nIt is recommended to participate in all Plan Reading classes in-person.
