This Electrical Plan Reading class, taught by Chad Constance of Rosendin Electric, provides an introduction to reading and understanding electrical plans. Attendees will learn the basics of interpreting symbols, notes, and drawings related to lighting, branch power, single-line diagrams, schedules, and special systems.
In this class, attendees will have a basic understanding of how to read and interpret electrical plans, including:
- Symbols, Notes, and Abbreviations
- Lighting Plans
- Branch Power
- Single Line (One-line) Drawings
- Schedules (Panel and Fixture)
- Special Systems (Audio Visual, Fire Alarm, Telecom, Security)

- Architectural Plans, 6/18
- M&P Plans, 7/8
- Electrical Plans, 8/5
- Special Systems, 8/19
It is recommended to participate in the all Plan Reading classes for the more thorough introduction to plan reading.
