Construction Defects and Project Pitfalls

November 7

11am

to

1pm

Small Giants Learning Lab

Taught by Joe Zbick and Todd Springer, AKE.

In a broad sense, this class will discuss how communication (or lack thereof) promotes the success of a project. More specifically, how does communication affect the outcome of a project? How are new products, techniques and operating procedures addressed?

This class will provide examples of failures that we investigate that result from a common underlying theme of poor communication. Our goal is to educate the audience on the importance of communication and the problems that can be avoided by proper communication.

Attendees will learn:

  • Many failures can be eliminated by good communication
  • Top down communication(providing good instructions, training, etc.)
  • Bottom up communication (asking questions, reading instructions, etc.)
  • Everyone plays a role in the success of a project
  • Good communication may take additional time and effort, but it is critical and saves time in the long term

Suggested Audience:

  • Company owners
  • Project managers
  • Architects
  • Engineers
  • Product reps
  • Installers
  • Laborers
  • Everyone in-between!

We look forward to seeing you in the classroom
