This Special Systems Plan Reading Class teaches students how to read construction drawings related to low-voltage systems that support building operations, safety, and communication. These systems are increasingly critical in commercial buildings and often require coordination across trades.

- Common systems covered:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Security (CCTV, card access, intrusion detection)
- Data/Telecom (structured cabling, fiber, server rooms)
- Audio/Visual (PA systems, digital signage, conference setups)
- Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Nurse call, intercoms, and paging (in healthcare or education)
