This Structural Plan Reading class will teach participants how to interpret drawings that show how a commercial building stands up – the skeleton of the structure.
In this class, attendees review the important aspects of reading Structural plans:
- Purpose and types of structural plans
- Understanding structural symbols, notes and line types, “reading the code”
- Foundation plans and footing layouts
- Structural framing plans
- Sections, elevations and structural details
- reading structural schedules
- Coordination with other trades

It is recommended to participate in the all Plan Reading classes for the more thorough introduction to plan reading.
