Small Giants Learning Lab

Lessons learned from projects gone wrong. The common denominator of most project pitfalls is miscommunication or poor communication.

Joe Zbick and Todd Springer, of Augspurger Komm Engineering, give examples and share stories of what they’ve observed as experts who investigate construction defect claims.

Attendees will learn:

  • Leader responsibilities (providing good instructions, training, etc.)
  • Team member responsibilities (asking questions, reading instructions, etc.)
  • Investment of time and effort in good communication = fewer risks and money saved

Suggested Attendees:

  • Company owners
  • Project managers
  • Architects
  • Engineers
  • Product reps
  • Installers
  • Laborers
  • Everyone in-between!

Joe Zbick is a Structural Engineer at Augspurger Komm Engineering. Joe has more than 25 years experience in structural design and evaluation and he is licensed in multiple states. His specialties include masonry, timber, concrete, steel construction and structural design.
